put your interface in the spotlight with our free iPhone mockups

An iPhone mockup turns a flat screen design into something that feels like a real product. Whether you're presenting an app, website, mobile interface, or digital campaign, placing your work inside an iPhone gives people an immediate sense of how it will look and feel on an actual device.

use iPhone mockups to
  • Present mobile apps and interfaces to clients
  • Show responsive website designs in context
  • Showcase UI and UX projects in your portfolio
  • Create visuals for app launches and marketing campaigns
  • Present multiple screens as part of one user experience

A well-chosen iPhone mockup can make a screen design feel tangible. Instead of asking someone to imagine the interface on a phone, you can show it exactly where it belongs — complete with the device frame, perspective, reflections, shadows, and surrounding environment.

not every iPhone mockup tells the same story

iPhone mockups come in many different styles, and the best choice depends on what you're trying to communicate. A clean front-facing device might be ideal for showing UI details, while an angled or lifestyle scene can make a presentation feel more natural and editorial.

choose a setup that fits your project
  • Front-facing: Keep the focus on your interface with a clear, distraction-free presentation.
  • Perspective: Add depth and dimension to make the device feel more realistic.
  • Multiple iPhones: Show several screens, user flows, or different stages of an app together.
  • Landscape: Ideal for interfaces, games, websites, and experiences designed for wider screens.
  • Lifestyle scenes: Place the iPhone on a desk, in a hand, or within a real-world environment for a more contextual presentation.
  • Device collections: Present multiple devices or screen sizes when demonstrating a larger digital ecosystem.

Think about what you want the viewer to notice first. If the interface itself is the hero, choose a mockup that gives the screen plenty of space. If you're presenting a brand or product experience, a more expressive scene can help tell the bigger story.

how to add your screens to an iPhone mockup

Most of our PSD iPhone mockups use Smart Objects, allowing you to insert your screen design without manually adjusting the device perspective or effects. Depending on the mockup, you may have one Smart Object for a single screen or several for multiple devices and views.

  • Open the PSD in Photoshop or Photopea.
  • Find the Smart Object marked with a name such as your screen here, replace screen, or edit me.
  • Double-click the Smart Object thumbnail.
  • Place your screenshot or interface design into the document.
  • Resize and position the artwork so it fills the intended screen area.
  • Save the Smart Object document.
  • Return to the main mockup and your screen will automatically appear inside the iPhone.
multiple screens, multiple smart objects

Some iPhone mockups are designed to display more than one screen. A composition with two or three devices may have a separate Smart Object for each phone, while a mockup showing different app states may include individual layers for each screen.

In these cases, simply replace each Smart Object with the corresponding screen from your project. The mockup takes care of the device perspective, reflections, shadows, and lighting so the screens remain visually consistent.

Always check the layer names before editing. The number of Smart Objects varies between mockups, and some files may include additional editable layers for backgrounds, device colors, shadows, or other visual effects.

from screenshot to presentation-ready visual

An iPhone mockup can do more than place a screenshot inside a device. It gives you an opportunity to present the complete experience with the right context, scale, and visual hierarchy.

before you finalise your mockup
  • Use high-resolution screenshots whenever possible.
  • Check that important interface details remain readable at the final presentation size.
  • Use matching screens when presenting a sequence or user flow.
  • Choose a background that complements rather than competes with the interface.
  • Keep device angles and compositions consistent when showing multiple screens.

Whether you're showcasing a new app, presenting a website concept, or building a polished portfolio case study, the right iPhone mockup can turn a collection of screens into a visual story — making the design easier to understand, remember, and appreciate.
