We all know designers are obsessed with fonts. They can never have enough and are always on the search for more, some even create their own.
Today, we’re bringing you the most accessible type family and we’re certain you’re going to add it to your list of favorites. Averta is a sans serif geometric font family with a unique personality and a meaningful name. Averta by definition means “to act or to speak openly, bluntly or without moderation, without hiding”. It combines features from European grotesque and American gothic fonts resulting in a modernist, neutral and friendly typeface that you could use for all your projects. It works great with packaging design, branding projects, text, titles, greeting cards, posters, and app & web design. It comes in eight weights with matching italics, in 2 versions: Averta and Averta standard. It’s available in a full set of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and glyphs. It also supports over 200 languages with an extended Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese character set, which makes it the perfect type family (for its diversity). You could use it for advertisements, and awareness campaigns, and since it’s multilingual, you could use it to show the difference between languages in a creative way.
Thanks to Kostas Bartsokas for sharing this spectacular type family. Make sure to check out his portfolio for more useful design resources like this one.
